Gary Carter was a catcher for the Mets from 1985-1989. He appeared in 11 all-star games, won 3 gold gloves and 5 silver slugger awards during his baseball career. Carter hit 324 homeruns and hit for a career AVG of .262. The Expos also retired his number (#8).
