Cal Ripken Jr., also known as the Iron Man, played shortstop and third base for the Orioles from 1981-2001. He holds the record for consecutive games played in (2,632). Ripken appeared in 19 all-star games, won 2 gold glove awards and 8 silver slugger awards. He also won the 1982 AL rookie of the year and was the AL MVP in 1983 and 1991.
